Bablak - Circles

Release Date: 23 March 2015

Bablak describes his own sound - "I try to create intelligent music for intelligent people. Sometimes it sounds strange & unusual. But that's the sound of my soul & I can't help it..."

Circles is a beautiful slice of underground melancholia, with a pixie-like female vocal, pitted against pitched down growls, wild analogue bass and motion-filled breakbeats.

Berlin's Fernan Dust brings deft production and musical skills to the remix, keeping that off kilter melancholic emotion, adding fx-laden tones, crisp drums, an arrangement full of depth, space and air, and a big, big bassline for for big, big sound systems. We then head to the East of the UK - Kent's own underground meister Stretch Silvester lets the vocals shine through, and last but not least Essex lad Paul Hutchinson adds fierce house vibes with some tasty percussive touches.
